Mark Romano, whistleblower from ALLSTATE tells how some insurance companies rig the system

Image
Former Allstate executive turned whistleblower,  was in charge of a computer program called "Colossus" that calculates money people are paid in claims. Another tip is be sure to research any company offering to do the work.  One of the Presidents at Better Business Bureau, says homeowners should see someone who has been around and has a decent hist...

Not as far as determining whether to pay or not, but it does affect how much the insurance company will pay if you have an actual cash value (ACV) policy. Contact your Elite Roofing Solutions Representative for more information. How much do I have to pay? This depends on your deductible and the type of policy you have. If you have a full replacement policy, your total cost would be the amount of your deductible. If you have an actual cash value (ACV) policy, the insurance company subtracts your deductible from the total amount, and then they subtract a portion for depreciation.
